This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the comprehensive data conversion strategy, including planning, execution, and governance for Epic implementation projects.
• Direct the extraction, mapping, transformation, validation, and loading of data from various legacy source systems into the Epic environment.
• Facilitate conversion activities among technical teams, application analysts, interface developers, vendors, and business stakeholders.
• Create and maintain conversion plans, timelines, issue logs, risk assessments, and status reports.
• Establish and supervise data mapping specifications, transformation rules, reconciliation processes, and quality assurance activities.
• Offer subject matter expertise on Continuity of Care Documents (CCD) and other healthcare interoperability standards to aid in clinical data migration.
• Collaborate with interface teams to utilize technologies such as Epic Bridges, ensuring seamless integration between legacy systems and Epic.
• Lead mock conversions, testing cycles, data validation sessions, defect resolution, production cutover planning, and post-conversion reconciliation.
• Ensure data quality and integrity throughout the migration lifecycle, maintaining completeness, accuracy, and compliance with organizational standards.
• Proactively identify risks and dependencies, implementing mitigation strategies to facilitate successful project delivery.
• Work closely with clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders to ensure go-live readiness and post-implementation stabilization.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Over 7 years of experience in healthcare IT, EHR implementation, or data conversion.
• Proven track record leading data conversion efforts for at least one Epic implementation completed within the last 24 months; experience with multiple Epic implementations is highly desirable.
• Extensive experience handling multiple legacy data sources and complex healthcare datasets.
• Strong comprehension of Epic data conversion methodologies and implementation lifecycles.
• In-depth knowledge of Continuity of Care Documents (CCD) and their role in clinical data migration.
• Practical experience with interface technologies, such as Epic Bridges or similar interface engines, along with an understanding of their functionalities and limitations.
• Proficient in data mapping, transformation, validation, reconciliation, and issue resolution.
• Demonstrated capability to lead cross-functional teams, manage competing priorities, and deliver high-quality outcomes within tight project timelines.
