Data Center Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Execute the installation and commissioning of Electrical Power Generation (EPG) equipment at specified customer sites across the United States.

• Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to all safety protocols, regulations, and organizational policies.

• Advocate for and adhere to Contamination Control guidelines in all work practices.

• Uphold the company's safety and housekeeping standards.

• Engage with internal and external customers in a way that fosters positive relationships.

• Assess and diagnose equipment failures effectively.

• Carry out pre-delivery setup, installation, and startup processes for all types of Caterpillar engines, generators, and related products.

• Repair, replace, and overhaul engines along with associated systems and components for both Cat and Non-Cat products in Industrial and EPG applications.

• Compose service reports that thoroughly document all activities undertaken.

• Utilize company, rental, or personal vehicles as necessary to transport parts and equipment and complete other field service responsibilities.

• Be prepared to travel up to 100% of the time to fulfill customer service obligations.

⛳️ Requirements

• An associate’s degree from an accredited institution or a certificate from a technical/vocational school in Diesel Technology or a closely related discipline.

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in power generation or engine service, ideally in a heavy industrial setting.

• Completion of a certified electrical safety training course.

• A valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record are required.
