
Data Center Specialist β Starlink

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
β’ Enhance, deploy, troubleshoot, and repair hardware at Starlink PoP colocation sites globally.
β’ Travel both internationally and domestically to address hardware issues impacting Starlink user service and to deploy new hardware to expand our global network.
β’ Diagnose failures within fiber optic circuits and perform repairs to restore system functionality.
β’ Rack and stack router and server hardware at designated locations worldwide.
β’ Install servers and upgrade or replace server components following MOPs.
β’ Investigate and resolve issues related to onsite commercial network and routing hardware.
β’ Develop and enhance existing training documentation to promote continuous improvement of team skills.
β’ Coordinate the logistics and shipment of equipment and parts to POP sites.
β’ Execute spare parts strategy to ensure availability and reduce downtime.
β’ Conduct and coordinate data center site surveys for potential new POP locations.
β’ Perform wireless validation surveys for VIP events and provide support for global market access.
β’ High school diploma or equivalent certification.
β’ Over 2 years of experience in troubleshooting hardware or IT equipment within the IT or telecom sector.
β’ Strong proficiency in standard computer skills, including MS Office, Visio, and web applications.
β’ Exceptional attention to detail, standards, and documentation practices.
β’ Ability to read, comprehend, and adhere to MOPs.
β’ Experience working with fiber optics networks: installation, testing, troubleshooting, and repair; utilizing fiber optic test equipment (OTDR, OLS, OPM, VFL).
β’ Experience in constructing IT/network racks (UPS, PDUs, cable management, servers, network devices).
β’ Experience in installing, activating, or troubleshooting CWDM and/or DWDM using standard fiber equipment and testers.
β’ A systematic approach to problem-solving and the capability to research solutions independently.
β’ Proficiency in languages in addition to English.
