Data Center Project Manager – Grey Space

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Oversee the National Pricing & Quoting Strategy

• Manage national pricing initiatives for data center grey space projects across various regions

• Create and oversee comprehensive quotes for large-scale electrical projects

• Establish standardized pricing models, labor assumptions, and Bill of Materials (BOM) structures

• Collaborate with manufacturers to negotiate pricing, rebates, and supply agreements

• Ensure competitive market positioning while upholding margin expectations

• Serve as a senior point of contact for national data center clients and contractors

• Assist in pre-bid meetings, scope alignment, and high-level discussions with clients

• Advise internal teams on pricing strategies and technical specifications

• Work alongside field teams and operating companies to facilitate project delivery

• Offer technical advice on material selection and substitutions

• Address supply chain, logistics, and coordination challenges

• Drive Vendor Strategy & Standardization

• Encourage the standardization of materials across various projects and clients

• Identify opportunities for value engineering and prefabrication

• Foster long-term vendor relationships that align with growth objectives

⛳️ Requirements

• 8–10+ years of experience in project management, estimating, or quoting environments

• Proven track record of leading large-scale electrical or data center-related projects

• Experience in supporting national accounts and multi-site deployments

• Strong background in collaborating with contractors, engineers, and building owners

• Proficient in reading drawings and conducting material take-offs

• Demonstrated success in pricing strategies and financial management of projects

• In-depth knowledge of electrical distribution and data center grey space systems

• Strong acumen in commercial and pricing strategies

• Ability to interpret construction drawings and create detailed material quotes

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills at the executive level

• Experience in vendor negotiation and relationship management

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Capacity to manage multiple complex projects in a fast-paced environment

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred
