This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Overseeing the daily service operations for the Data Center Services Center of Excellence.
• Ensuring that we consistently surpass customer expectations.
• Responsible for the daily execution within the Data Center Service sector.
• Developing our surge team for the Data Center segment and the overall Field Services organization.
• Enhancing service availability, quality, and customer experience across all field service activities.
• Creating, implementing, and evaluating field service strategies aligned with global business goals.
• Promoting a strong customer focus, urgency, and care in all service interactions to enhance retention.
• Driving continuous improvement, first-time-right execution, and performance management based on KPIs.
• Identifying on-site opportunities for improving customer operations and communicating them to account teams.
• Fostering a culture of operational excellence, risk management, and effective end-to-end service delivery.
• Managing resource planning, workload balancing, and ensuring compliance with all HSE standards and ABB Way requirements.
• Overseeing Surge Team operations, including onboarding, training, compliance, and validation of timesheets, expenses, and supplier invoices.
• Providing leadership, coaching, and development for Field Service Engineers/Technicians.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business, or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of Data Center startup and commissioning strategies, field service personnel development, and the electrical industry within the Data Center market.
• Proficiency in MS suite of products, including MS Project, Google suite (Sheets, Docs, Drive, and Slides), SAP, and project issue resolution software (BIM, Compass, CxAlloy, Procore, etc.).
• Ability to interpret and work from engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Technical understanding of power delivery equipment, including transformers, switchgear, breakers, relays, etc.
• Upholding high standards for safety and housekeeping while ensuring compliance with all environmental regulations.
• Strong leadership skills, clear communication, teamwork, and a demonstrated customer-focused mindset.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
• Candidates must already possess work authorization that allows them to work for ABB in the US.
