This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +5 more states.
• Take ownership and oversee various data center and mission-critical commissioning projects, which encompass greenfield constructions, facility expansions, and restorations.
• Manage all aspects of JLL's commissioning scope by providing technical and project management services.
• Offer management and technical guidance throughout the design, pre-construction, construction, and post-construction stages.
• Lead cross-functional teams comprising internal staff, consultants, and contractors.
• Safeguard JLL’s contractual interests while ensuring that work adheres to contracted specifications.
• Create or oversee the development of Commissioning Plans and Commissioning Specifications.
• Prepare project proposals in response to client RFPs.
• Identify the internal and external team needs for project commissioning scopes.
• Develop and oversee project budgets and financial management.
• Manage the creation, review, and approval of L1-L5 commissioning test scripts and procedures.
• Serve as the primary contact for clients and the escalation point for JLL.
• Direct daily activities of assigned internal team members.
• Oversee commissioning-specific design drawings, specifications, and submittal reviews.
• Schedule and facilitate commissioning kick-off meetings.
• Manage the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Method of Procedures (MOPs) as needed.
• Coordinate commissioning activities with end-users, contractors, subcontractors, equipment vendors, AHJs, and engineers of record.
• Travel overnight up to 40% across the USA and Canada.
• Strong understanding of mission-critical commissioning processes along with ASHRAE commissioning standards and guidelines.
• Expertise in quality assessment for the installation of electrical and mechanical equipment and systems.
• Experience with equipment and system startup, pre-functional inspections, acceptance testing, and commissioning tasks.
• Proven track record in coordinating with end-users, general contractors, subcontractors, equipment suppliers, AHJs, engineers of record, and other project stakeholders.
• Proficient with QA/QC and commissioning software like BIM360, CxAlloy, Facility Grid, and Procore.
• Willingness and capability to travel overnight up to 40% within the USA and Canada.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in mission-critical commissioning project management.
• ABET-accredited engineering or technology degree preferred; equivalent industry experience is acceptable.
• Commissioning Professional certification from a recognized authority is mandatory.
• PE and/or PMP designations are advantageous but not essential.
• Knowledge and experience in testing utility transformers, UPS systems, generators, automated paralleling switchgear, ATSs, STSs, fuel oil systems, PDUs, EPMS, BMS, chillers, CRAHs, CRACs, AHUs, and liquid cooling systems.
• Outstanding people management and team leadership abilities.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong proficiency in MS Project, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Experience in a consultancy or owner organization is beneficial.
• Must have authorization to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship.
