Data & Automation Engineer – Q Clearance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Assist in the development of Python-based tools dedicated to document scanning, extraction, and processing.

• Support the automation of workflows utilizing PowerShell and Microsoft 365 services.

• Engage with SharePoint Online libraries, including metadata and document structures.

• Take part in data migration efforts from file shares to SharePoint Online.

• Aid in the implementation and testing of document classification and records management processes.

• Examine file metadata and content to facilitate categorization and compliance initiatives.

• Collaborate with senior engineers to integrate AI services, such as Azure OpenAI.

• Conduct testing, validation, and troubleshooting of automation pipelines.

• Maintain documentation for scripts, processes, and technical configurations.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

• A Bachelor's degree or an Associate’s degree with two (2) years of relevant experience, or a High School Diploma/GED accompanied by four (4) years of relevant experience.

• Proficiency in Python scripting.

• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting.

• Familiarity with the SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 ecosystem.

• Experience in data handling, file systems, or data migration concepts.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• High attention to detail and the ability to manage large datasets.

• A willingness to learn and advance in AI-enabled solutions.

• Demonstrated ability to analyze intricate requirements and convert them into clear, actionable tasks and processes through critical thinking.

• Candidates must possess and maintain an active DOE Q or equivalent DoD Top Secret clearance.
