Data Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Assist in the development of Python-based tools for the scanning, extraction, and processing of documents.

• Aid in the automation of workflows utilizing PowerShell and Microsoft 365 services.

• Engage with SharePoint Online libraries, metadata, and document structures.

• Participate in data migration tasks from file shares to SharePoint Online.

• Support the implementation and testing of document classification and records management procedures.

• Evaluate file metadata and content to facilitate categorization and compliance initiatives.

• Collaborate with senior engineers on the integration of AI services (such as Azure OpenAI).

• Conduct testing, validation, and troubleshooting of automation pipelines.

• Maintain documentation for scripts, processes, and technical configurations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a US citizen (Top Secret eligibility required).

• Bachelor’s degree with over 5 years of pertinent professional experience.

• Proficiency in Python scripting.

• Experience in PowerShell scripting.

• Familiarity with SharePoint Online and the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.

• Knowledge of data handling, file systems, or concepts related to data migration.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage large datasets effectively.
