Data Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Create and execute comprehensive data architecture solutions, encompassing data models, ingestion and transformation workflows, and storage systems.

• Drive strategies for data ingestion from various sources such as databases, APIs, flat files, and streaming data.

• Develop, oversee, and secure API integrations to facilitate smooth data exchange across different platforms.

• Design and uphold data solutions across multiple cloud platforms.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to identify data requirements and align architectural solutions with organizational objectives.

• Guarantee that data quality, governance, lineage, and compliance standards are woven into all solutions.

• Enhance the performance and cost-efficiency of data infrastructure.

• Assist in the development of dashboards and reports that provide insights for business stakeholders.

• Record architectural standards, patterns, and best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline; or equivalent experience.

• Over 5 years of experience in data architecture or business intelligence within corporate settings.

• Strong practical experience with Microsoft Fabric and associated tools.

• Demonstrated proficiency in data ingestion, transformation, and ETL/ELT pipelines.

• Expertise in API design, development, and management (RESTful, OAuth, etc.).

• Familiarity with AWS data services, including Athena, RDS, Glue, Kinesis, and S3.

• Understanding of Azure features and best practices.

• Experience in relational and dimensional data modeling.

• Advanced skills in SQL and Python for data querying and processing.

• Competence with Tableau for creating interactive dashboards and visualizations.

• Awareness of modern data governance and security protocols.

• Experience with ETL applications or other contemporary data platforms.

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies for data deployment.

• Familiarity with data cataloging and metadata management tools.

• Preferred qualifications include Microsoft and/or AWS certifications, such as Azure Data Engineer or AWS Certified Data Analytics.
