This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +6 more states.
• Execute Tier 1/2 cybersecurity help desk responsibilities, including initial customer interaction, issue identification, troubleshooting, and ticket resolution.
• Evaluate and assess software for potential inclusion in or exclusion from the production network.
• Conduct security posture assessments and address vulnerabilities.
• Assist with risk evaluations, system and communication analysis, and the creation of compliance processes and documentation, including RMF, NIST SP 800-171, and CMMC.
• Escalate issues to the relevant engineer or manager as necessary.
• Maintain and enhance process documentation for the Information Security Team.
• Provide exceptional customer service and inter-departmental support.
• Analyze emails and coordinate with the Cyberoperations team regarding suspicious communications.
• Collaborate and support IT and other teams as required.
• Independently manage workload, prioritize tasks, streamline processes, enhance capabilities, and help optimize the environment.
• U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline – or equivalent professional experience.
• Must possess an active Security+ certification, or be required to acquire it within six months of onboarding.
• Strong understanding of various cybersecurity domains concerning implementation and documentation.
• Proficient English language skills, both spoken and written.
• Exceptional communication skills and a strong focus on customer service.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and regulatory standards, including NIST SP 800-171, CMMC, and ISO 27001.
• Excellent time/task management abilities.
• Capable of working independently and efficiently managing multiple ongoing tasks.
• Eagerness to learn and contribute.
• 1–3 years of advancing experience in information security, cybersecurity, or similar roles.
• Active A+ and/or Net+ certifications or their equivalents.
• Knowledge of Linux configurations and security measures.
• Experience working with Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, network mapping, and vulnerability assessment.
• Experience utilizing scripts, automation, and/or data analysis in the field of cybersecurity.
• Must be able to travel within the Continental U.S. when necessary.
• Must qualify as a U.S. person under ITAR/EAR regulations or be eligible for an export license.
