This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Guides 350’s data strategy and governance, facilitating the establishment of organization-wide KPIs and measurement frameworks in collaboration with staff throughout the organization.
• Promotes a data-driven culture across the organization, fostering a collective understanding of data significance, embedding best practices, and engaging with staff at all levels, including the Senior Leadership Team, to ensure that planning and decision-making are based on evidence.
• Manages and enhances 350's BigQuery data warehouse: designs and sustains data models, optimizes query performance, oversees access controls, and guarantees that the warehouse serves as a dependable foundation for all organizational reporting.
• Directs BI and reporting initiatives: creates and maintains Metabase dashboards, manages ELT pipelines and data transformations sourced from BigQuery, governs user permissions, and ensures that datasets are reliable, well-documented, and accessible for self-service reporting throughout the organization.
• Holds responsibility for the strategic roadmap and technical architecture of Salesforce, establishing data governance, security, and quality standards while spearheading user adoption and change management initiatives.
• Develops dashboards with visualizations tailored to facilitate data-driven decision-making for staff across all levels.
• Assists the Organisational Processes Team in providing accessible, current information on performance trends, campaign strategies, milestones, and progress.
• Designs and supervises tagging and tracking protocols to enable detailed segmentation and customized user experiences for supporters.
• Co-leads data privacy, security, and compliance efforts for supporter data (GDPR and other applicable regulations): establishes retention rules, access controls, and incident response protocols.
• Creates and implements data hygiene protocols, initiating and overseeing data clean-up projects.
• Manages external vendors, from scoping to delivery oversight and continuous performance management.
• Provides line management for the Senior Data Specialist and Senior CRM Specialists, fostering a collaborative, results-oriented, and positive team environment.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in leading organization-wide data strategy.
• Outstanding communication and culture-building abilities, capable of cultivating a data-driven culture and collaborating confidently with staff at all levels, including the Senior Leadership Team.
• At least 6 years of practical implementation experience (Data warehouse/ELT, reporting/BI, CRM), incorporating governance, privacy, and systems integration.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Google BigQuery, covering data modeling, cost management, and access control.
• Experience managing data visualization platforms such as Metabase.
• Familiarity with managing Salesforce or a similar CRM system.
• Advanced SQL proficiency with practical experience in writing and optimizing queries, including working with nested/repeated fields, partitioned tables, and cost-effective query design.
• Significant experience managing complex projects related to data integration, synchronization, and/or warehousing.
• Knowledge of statistical concepts, such as significance, sample size, confidence intervals, etc.
• Understanding of best practices in data privacy and security.
• Exceptional team leadership capabilities.
• Strong skills in stakeholder alignment, prioritization, and facilitation.
• Excellent organizational skills, including leading diverse groups, managing priorities across teams, and promoting collaboration across time zones and cultures.
• Experience in budget management for cloud data platforms and vendor contracts.
