• Directly oversee a team of analysts, offering coaching, performance evaluations, and support for professional development to ensure excellence and retain talent.
• Serve as the main people manager for analysts integrated within PBM, clinical, customer success, delivery, and operations teams, helping to balance business priorities with team welfare and growth.
• Take ownership of prioritization and project management, ensuring analysts are focused on the most valuable workstreams in their area and are empowered to create measurable impact.
• Utilize PBM expertise to assist analysts in navigating complex pharmacy claims data, program outcomes, and cost-saving strategies.
• Define and steer the development of scalable, validated data products and performance metrics.
• Convert business inquiries into structured analytical methods and guarantee clear, actionable results through dashboards, models, and presentations.
• Collaborate with leadership across various PBM functions to facilitate quarterly business reviews, client deliverables, ad hoc analytics, and clinical program effectiveness.
• Remain updated on PBM market trends, new pharmaceuticals, biosimilar transitions, and policy changes to ensure Rightway stays data-driven and clinically pertinent.
• Contribute to broader analytics infrastructure initiatives such as metric standardization, governance, and version control.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to establish secure, efficient, and scalable analytics infrastructure.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience managing analytics teams, with a proven track record in effective people management, including the ability to:
• Cultivate a positive, inclusive, and collaborative team culture that promotes healthy team dynamics.
• Guide team members in both technical skill development (SQL, BI tooling, data modeling) and professional advancement (communication, stakeholder management, strategic thinking).
• Proactively manage performance while providing continuous coaching and feedback.
• Direct experience and knowledge of pharmacy benefits, PBM analytics, and/or healthcare data, with 6-8 years of experience in quantitative analytics, advanced analytic modeling, and data storytelling for small and large datasets.
• Proficient in SQL, data modeling, and database technologies.
• Experience with modern data stacks such as dbt, Redshift, and Snowflake.
• Skilled in data storytelling and advanced visualizations using BI tools (Tableau, Looker, Metabase).
• Demonstrated experience in metric standardization, analytics governance, and the democratization of data and insights across business units.
• Ability to balance strategic oversight with hands-on execution, ensuring the timely delivery of high-impact analytics.
• Advocate for best practices in coding, development, and analytical rigor that promote team collaboration, maintain velocity, and ensure high-quality, scalable analytics solutions.
• Excellent communication skills with the capability to translate complex findings into actionable business recommendations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including executives.
