This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance interactive Power BI dashboards and reports for business, technical, and leadership stakeholders.
• Design and implement data visualization and reporting solutions to enhance transparency in process assessments, ensure data integrity, and support information governance initiatives.
• Create standardized project reporting and visualization tools, including Power BI dashboards, to deliver real-time insights into project progress, risks, key metrics, and technical milestones.
• Utilize Power BI and related analytics tools to analyze project data, uncover trends, and produce actionable insights that facilitate project planning, execution, and decision-making.
• Collaborate with business users and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective data solutions.
• Clean, transform, merge, and model data from various sources to support analytics, reporting, and dashboard development.
• Employ tools such as Power Automate to automate repetitive tasks, including the generation of status reports, task reminders, notifications, and tracking overdue tasks.
• Design and maintain reusable project dashboards that offer real-time insights into project status, progress, and key performance indicators.
• Clearly communicate complex data findings in an actionable format to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Regularly present findings, reporting outputs, and actionable insights to stakeholders to aid strategic planning and enhance operational visibility.
• Support the continuous improvement of reporting processes, data quality, dashboard usability, and analytics practices.
• Stay updated on Power BI advancements, reporting trends, and industry best practices to enhance data solutions and visualization techniques.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Analytics, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
• 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in data analytics, business intelligence, reporting, data visualization, or a related domain.
• Proficient in using Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
• Knowledge of DAX for calculations, measures, and data modeling.
• Expertise in Power Query, including M language, for data transformation and preparation.
• Experience in building, maintaining, and optimizing complex data models.
• Strong SQL skills for data extraction, manipulation, integration, and reporting from various data sources.
• Proven ability to write efficient queries and optimize database interactions.
• Experience in designing intuitive, interactive dashboards and reports for both business and technical users.
• Ability to convert complex metrics and datasets into actionable insights for stakeholders.
• Familiarity with data visualization best practices and user experience principles.
• Experience in cleaning, merging, transforming, and preparing data to ensure quality, consistency, and reliability.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables and data modeling.
• Strong communication skills to convey data findings, trends, and recommendations to non-technical audiences.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain Public Trust or client suitability requirements.
