• Conduct investigations to identify the root causes of unexpected incidents or fluctuations.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of current email abuse vectors and trends.
• Establish, implement, and oversee essential metrics such as detection time, false-positive rates, coverage, and enforcement latency.
• Create dashboards and reports to provide real-time and historical insights into behavioral patterns and policy breaches.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of signals through analysis of precision, recall, drift, overlap, and other relevant factors.
• Collaborate with data engineering teams to design data pipelines, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
• Work alongside engineering and operations teams to perform A/B testing on rule modifications, assess trade-offs, and refine processes.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in data or analytics positions, preferably within security, fraud, or trust and safety domains.
• Proficient in SQL and data tools such as Looker, Mode, Metabase, and Business Intelligence applications.
• Comfortable handling large datasets and event streams.
• Strong measurement skills, with the ability to create metrics that inform decision-making.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex analytical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to thrive in uncertain situations, creating frameworks and processes from the ground up.
• Experience with estimation, sampling techniques, and statistical validation methods.
• Knowledge of predictive and classification modeling techniques.
