This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.
• Analyze comprehensive and integrated datasets to derive insights that influence business decisions.
• Work alongside business stakeholders to recognize value, create solutions, and provide insights aimed at reducing care costs and enhancing clinical outcomes.
• Interpret and assess claims, provider, member, and encounter data.
• Identify and evaluate the business implications of trends.
• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot complex scripts and reports using SQL, Microsoft Excel, and analytics tools.
• Contribute to the planning and execution of large-scale projects with minimal supervision.
• Assist in the design, testing, and implementation of process improvements and automation opportunities.
• Conduct root-cause analysis of data discrepancies and present findings and solutions to leadership and clients.
• Oversee multiple data review processes while adhering to targeted timelines.
• Utilize quantitative analysis, data mining, and data presentation skills to comprehend customer interactions with analytical products.
• Collaborate cross-functionally and convey findings and insights to non-technical business partners.
• Engage with customers and business partners to collect requirements and validate results.
• Present data-driven insights and recommendations to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Offer technical guidance to junior analysts.
• Must possess authorization to work in the U.S. without requiring employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• Bachelor's degree in business, economics, statistics, mathematics, actuarial science, public health, health informatics, healthcare administration, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of experience working with large databases, data verification, and data management, or 2+ years of IT experience.
• Experience in healthcare analytics is preferred.
• Proficiency in SQL/querying languages is required.
• Knowledge of Python and R is advantageous.
• Familiarity with statistical, analytical, or data mining techniques, including basic data modeling, trend analysis, and root-cause analysis is preferred.
• Preferred knowledge of Microsoft Power BI and contemporary business intelligence and visualization tools.
• Experience with Regional and HBR Analytics is preferred, including emerging trend analysis, financial modeling, claims pricing, contract/network analysis, and/or ROI evaluation.
• Understanding of claims payment, utilization management, provider/vendor contracts, and risk adjustment for government-sponsored healthcare is desirable.
• Experience in Finance, Actuarial Science, or Accounting is preferred.
• Experience applying analytic techniques and tools to examine financial performance trends or reconcile financial data is preferred.
• Experience in report/dashboard development, data/report automation, self-service capabilities, data design and integration, or data quality and governance is preferred.
• Risk adjustment experience is preferred, including clinical coding, financial reporting/analysis, or CMS/State encounters and regulatory file submissions.
• Experience in data mining, population health, and statistical modeling is preferred.
