This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of the comprehensive measurement framework for Greenlight’s devices business on Shopify and Amazon. Establish KPIs, create reporting tools, and ensure the team consistently has an up-to-date understanding of device sales performance.
• Assess the complete funnel from ad impressions to device purchases and subscriber conversions. Analyze which marketing efforts drive device sales and identify which device purchasers evolve into high-LTV subscribers. This two-step conversion process is central to this role's analytical focus.
• Evaluate paid performance across Amazon Ads and channels driven by Shopify. Analyze ROAS, CAC, and payback periods at the device level, and provide recommendations on where to adjust spending.
• Investigate the funnels of the Shopify storefront and Amazon product pages. Determine where conversion drops off, which product, pricing, or creative elements enhance performance, and proactively share insights with stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain dbt models that encapsulate business logic for the devices sector in a scalable and reusable manner, ensuring they support dashboards, reporting, and self-service for stakeholders.
• Create and manage Tableau dashboards that provide marketing and leadership with a dependable, real-time overview of device sales, channel performance, and subscriber attachment rates.
• Utilize Claude proficiently as a daily productivity tool: enhancing SQL, generating documentation, ensuring quality assurance, and streamlining analytical workflows. Assist in defining and disseminating best practices for AI-assisted analytics within the team.
• Collaborate directly with the devices marketing team to outline analytical challenges and rigorously test them.
• Proactively identify gaps before they escalate into issues: data quality, metric definitions, reporting comprehensiveness, and stakeholder comprehension. Take ownership of solutions, not just raise flags.
• 4 to 8 years of experience in a data or analytics position, with direct involvement in e-commerce or retail marketing analytics. You grasp how product sales, marketplace channels, and subscription conversions are interconnected.
• Practical experience with Shopify analytics and Amazon Seller Central or Amazon Ads. You understand how these platforms organize their data, the key performance metrics, and the methodologies for assessing performance across both.
• Strong, validated SQL skills. You can write clean, efficient queries across complex schemas and develop analytics logic that is maintainable by others. Experience with dbt, including managing production models, is highly desirable.
• You produce clear, well-structured Python for analytical tasks: data manipulation, automation, or scripting. Familiarity with pandas and the ability to seamlessly switch between SQL and Python based on the problem at hand are essential.
• Proficient with Claude or similar AI tools for analytical tasks. You leverage them to enhance efficiency, not as a substitute for critical thinking. You are skilled in validating outputs rather than accepting the first response.
• You have a solid understanding of how attribution models function within a marketplace context, what constitutes a robust experiment, and how to evaluate LTV, CAC, and payback periods for a hardware product supporting a subscription model.
• You take initiative: you identify gaps, define the work required, and drive it to completion without waiting for direction. Your stakeholders should not need to manage your workload.
• You can distill vague business queries into clear analytical strategies. You ask the right clarifying questions and provide structure without needing the problem to be predefined.
• You present findings in a manner that influences decision-making. You discern when a visual representation suffices and when a more detailed narrative is necessary. You have experience presenting to senior stakeholders and know how to tailor your approach accordingly.
