Accounting Manager – eCommerce

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Team leadership — oversee and guide a team of accountants to produce accurate, timely, and high-quality work.

• Full-cycle accounting oversight — evaluate reconciliations, financial statements, and month-end closing deliverables across various client accounts.

• Operational excellence — ensure adherence to UpCounting's accounting processes consistently and enhance them as necessary.

• Client support & communication — assist clients in comprehending their financial data, convey insights effectively, and ensure seamless financial operations.

• System & process optimization — pinpoint automation opportunities and collaborate with Controllers and senior leadership to develop scalable, efficient workflows.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in accounting management, preferably in a firm or multi-client setting.

• High proficiency in QuickBooks Online and/or Xero (NetSuite experience is a plus).

• Strong technical expertise in full-cycle accounting, reconciliations, and month-end processes.

• Exceptional communication and leadership abilities — you inspire those around you.

• Excellent command of English — this role involves client interaction.

• Comfortable utilizing automation tools and enhancing processes.

• A calm and organized leadership approach — you provide clarity without micromanagement.

• Residing in Latin America with the ability to work during EST hours.

• Experience with eCommerce clients is preferred; experience in FP&A or financial modeling is advantageous.
