This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Assist in AI and analytics projects by conducting exploratory data analysis (EDA), statistical analysis, data wrangling, and applying low-code/no-code generative AI tools to enhance IT business processes.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, AI Engineers, business stakeholders, and process owners to prepare high-quality datasets, reveal insights, validate assumptions, and identify opportunities to automate, simplify, and expedite tasks.
• Extract, join, and transform data from various sources utilizing SQL and/or data tools.
• Cleanse and preprocess structured and semi-structured data.
• Develop and sustain analysis-ready datasets to support feature engineering, model development, and business reporting requirements.
• Implement data quality checks and document the findings.
• Conduct EDA to comprehend data structure, relationships, distributions, anomalies, and business context.
• Generate visualizations and summaries to effectively communicate insights.
• Perform descriptive and basic inferential statistical analyses and assist in designing measurements and defining KPIs.
• Leverage low-code/no-code GenAI tools to enhance efficiency, speed, and quality in IT business processes.
• Design and implement GenAI-enabled solutions, create prompts, reusable workflows, and lightweight AI assistants.
• Participate in technical teams focused on analytics solutions and ensure well-structured documentation is maintained.
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent practical experience) in a quantitative or technical discipline such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 0-3 years of relevant professional experience.
• Proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating data, including joins, aggregations, and filters.
• Basic knowledge of Python for data analysis, including libraries such as pandas/tidyverse and fundamental scripting.
• Understanding of foundational statistics, encompassing distributions, summary statistics, correlation, and basic hypothesis testing concepts.
• Strong attention to detail and comfort in dealing with messy, incomplete, or changing datasets and business requirements.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI and/or Python visualization libraries.
• A demonstrated interest in utilizing generative AI tools to enhance business workflows and process optimization.
• Practical familiarity with one or more enterprise GenAI platforms or related workflow tools is preferred, including Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Power Automate, ChatGPT Enterprise, custom GPTs, Claude, or similar solutions.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS or Azure is advantageous.
• Familiarity with ML/AI concepts such as features, labels, training versus inference data, and evaluation metrics is preferred.
• Experience using Git and creating reproducible notebooks, documentation, or workflow playbooks is a plus.
