This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.
• Assist Cost Managers in ensuring precise and consistent cost data structures across various active projects.
• Aggregate, clean, and analyze project cost data to facilitate forecasting, reporting, and informed decision-making.
• Develop corporate reporting materials, such as dashboards, presentations, and executive summaries for senior leadership.
• Perform benchmarking analysis by comparing cost and schedule data across projects, regions, and scopes to detect trends, variances, and key drivers.
• Aid in the establishment and maintenance of cost baselines and unit rate libraries for essential data center construction components (e.g., MEP systems, structural, and site work).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to guarantee data accuracy, consistency, and alignment with project and corporate standards.
• Support the creation of data visualization tools and dashboards to improve transparency and usability of cost data.
• Validate and reconcile data from various sources, ensuring the integrity and reliability of reporting outputs.
• Assist with ad hoc analysis and reporting requests from project teams and senior leadership.
• Communicate insights, trends, and recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Conduct all activities with a high degree of integrity and attention to detail, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy of sensitive financial data.
• Bachelor’s degree required (preferably in Data Analytics, Finance, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field).
• 2–5 years of experience in data analysis, project controls, cost engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with large datasets and developing analytical models, ideally in a construction or project-based setting.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Excel (including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and data modeling).
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is preferred.
• Understanding of construction cost structures or project financials is advantageous.
• Experience in supporting cost management or project controls teams is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational capabilities.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present data clearly to diverse stakeholders.
