This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Review and evaluate financial documents obtained from General/Limited Partners, including capital calls, distributions, financial statements, and investment schedules.
• Access GP portals and repositories to download, categorize, and accurately tag fund-related documents with the correct metadata.
• Extract, standardize, and verify data from Private Equity documents such as Partners’ Capital Account statements, cash flow statements, and investment schedules.
• Determine suitable accounting breakdowns and classify data items related to fund-level investments and portfolio companies.
• Execute data quality assessments, address exceptions identified through manual QC reviews and automated validation logs, and ensure compliance with established data standards.
• Carry out routine reporting and basic trend analysis to assist internal analytics and operational insights.
• Aid in data cleansing initiatives to enhance accuracy and consistency across datasets.
• Contribute to process improvements, Lean initiatives, and automation efforts, including basic SQL-driven data tasks.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of data collection and validation processes for audit purposes and future reference.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve both individual and team objectives with a strong emphasis on quality, accuracy, and timeliness.
• Engage in ad-hoc projects related to business expansion, data enhancement, or automation initiatives.
• Basic knowledge of Private Equity / Real Estate / Alternative Investment operations, including concepts of fund accounting and investor reporting is preferred.
• General understanding of capital markets, alternative investments, and Private Equity is preferred.
• Postgraduate degree in Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field (MBA (Finance), PGDM, or equivalent preferred).
• 0–1 year of experience in Fund Administration, Private Equity Operations, or Financial Data Processing.
• Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); basic knowledge of SQL and Python; familiarity with BI tools is a plus.
• Experience with automation, Lean methodologies, or GenAI tools is advantageous.
• Good understanding of fundamental accounting principles (GAAP).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work effectively in a team setting under tight deadlines.
