Data Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate frequently with Marketing, Sales, Finance, and Product teams to understand their objectives, metrics, and decision-making processes.

• Manage the analysis process from start to finish: clarify the inquiry, create or choose the appropriate dataset, provide the solution, and ensure a decision is made.

• Acquire in-depth knowledge of the subscription domain and document metric definitions, limitations, filters, and known issues.

• Create reliable analytics resources, including dbt models, LookML explores, and dashboards.

• Enhance AI agent tools by offering semantic context, pinpointing incorrect responses, and refining definitions.

• Contribute to small model and pipeline enhancements, troubleshoot discrepancies, and assist in resolving data platform challenges.

• Convert business context into comprehensive analysis and translate data realities into understandable terms for non-technical stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in an analytics position such as Data Analyst, BI Analyst, Business Analyst, Analytics Engineer, or a similar role.

• Direct experience collaborating with a business team, including Marketing, Sales, or Finance.

• Proficient in SQL and comfortable working directly within a data warehouse environment.

• Capability to independently derive answers without requiring constant guidance.

• Experience managing datasets and dashboards relied upon by non-technical teams.

• Familiarity with Git-based repositories, including branches, pull requests, and code reviews.

• Experience with version-controlled dbt and LookML repositories or similar analytics coding workflows.

• Regular interaction with AI agents and a healthy skepticism towards their outputs.

• Ability to articulate how an answer was validated.

• Strong written communication skills to convey limitations, caveats, and the implications of numerical data.
