Data Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

• Collaborating with Project teams

• Engaging with business stakeholders

• Working alongside technical subject matter experts (SMEs)

• Contributing to a growing portfolio of interactive dashboards for various product teams

• Developing new datasets and advanced dashboards

• Gaining an understanding of data and business processes across all applications

• Covering all data domains

• Promoting best practices for development within our teams

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in SQL

• Experience with Hadoop

• Knowledge of Big Data technologies

• Familiarity with Hive

• Understanding of NiFi

• Ability to analyze existing reports and reverse engineer table relationships

• Strong familiarity with the Retail Domain

• Experience in various stages of data warehouse projects

• Proficiency in using DataStage components such as Sequential File, Join, Sort, Merge, Lookup, Transformer, Remove Duplicates, Copy, Filter, Funnel, Dataset, Change Data Capture, and Aggregator

• Strong command of database commands (DDL and DML) and data warehousing implementation models

• Practical experience with the Hadoop ecosystem, including HDFS, Hive, Sqoop, NiFi, and YARN

• Familiarity with Mainframe ESP for job scheduling

• Understanding of branched development environments – dev, qa, prod, etc.

• A passion for data and its potential

• Experience in analyzing LOBs, databases, and writing scripts

• Experience connecting to additional data sources such as Azure and MySQL

• Familiarity with CI/CD processes

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field

• Candidates lacking a Computer Science or Information Technology degree should have substantial work experience.
