Data Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of City Cast's audience and revenue data from start to finish.

• Establish and manage pertinent metrics in collaboration with leadership.

• Work alongside diverse teams to create a comprehensive data ecosystem.

• Maintain and manage analytics dashboards sourced from various data inputs.

• Create customized dashboards tailored to different audience needs.

• Project audience growth and assist in financial and sales forecasts.

• Formulate a first-party data strategy.

• Provide clear insights to staff via reports and presentations.

• Utilize AI tools to improve data-related tasks.

• Aid in investigations and decision-making through thorough analysis.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a data analyst, business intelligence, or audience analytics role, preferably within news, podcasting, or media sectors.

• Familiarity with a media environment, including understanding audience growth and revenue dynamics.

• Proficiency in SQL and comfortable using BI or visualization tools (such as Looker, Tableau, Power BI, etc.).

• Experience with Python or R for analytical purposes is an advantage.

• Proficient in using AI tools.

• Proven experience in creating functional dashboards.

• Excellent communication skills for effectively presenting findings.

• Self-motivated and capable of working independently as the first hire.

• Enthusiasm for local journalism and community engagement.
