Data Administrator – Engineering and Modeling

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Maintain and update data models, as well as logical and physical data structures, ensuring they align with business rules.

• Guarantee the quality of metadata, assessing its relevance for various departments within the organization.

• Engage in the assessment of automation solutions that influence information production and use, overseeing model implementation and verifying database content quality to ensure alignment with business goals.

• Outline the conceptual, logical, and physical modeling of information necessary to address business requirements.

• Develop, propose, sustain, and revise data models, ensuring data normalization, minimizing redundancy, and fostering data consistency at the model level for database deployment.

• Establish procedures for data access security.

• Revise data models based on physical implementation specifics to enhance database performance.

• Determine data distribution needs and collaborate with DBAs on physical implementations.

• Contribute to architecture modeling and deployment of BI & Big Data systems, as well as develop KPIs and dashboards to facilitate executive decision-making.

• Architect data services across the technology and platform ecosystem (Relational, Analytical, NoSQL) to support data utilization by BI applications.

• Foster and advance BI best practices, focusing on results and delivery, while providing consulting, support, and mentorship to various business sectors with recommendations for continuous improvement and the maintenance of the established organizational framework.

• Participate in the development and revision of data management and governance methodologies.

• Assist in specifying integration mechanisms including services, ETL specifications, database links, and other DBMS integration methods.

• Create SQL scripts for data validation, report specifications, and more.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, or completion of a higher education degree accompanied by a postgraduate certificate (specialization, master's, or doctorate) in Information Technology of at least 360 hours.

• DESIRABLE CERTIFICATION: Possess at least one certification in one of the following databases: Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, DB2, SAP ASE, SAP IQ, MySQL.

• Preferred experience: 3 years in data modeling and large-volume integration within analytical and transactional settings.

• Proficiency in relational and dimensional modeling.

• Advanced skills in SQL, DDL, DML, DCL.

• Familiarity with platforms such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, DB2, and MongoDB.

• Experience with modeling tools including PowerDesigner, ERwin, and CA-Gen.

• Understanding of integrations via DBMS, database links, and ETL (e.g., Informatica PowerCenter).
