Data Administrator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Keep data models and both logical and physical data structures up-to-date, ensuring alignment with business rules.

• Guarantee the quality of metadata, taking into account its applicability for various departments within the company.

• Engage in the assessment of automation solutions that impact the production and utilization of information, overseeing the implementation of models and validating the quality of database content to ensure alignment with business goals.

• Establish the conceptual, logical, and physical modeling of information necessary to address business requirements.

• Create, recommend, maintain, and revise data models, ensuring data normalization, reducing or eliminating redundant data, and fostering consistency at the model level for database implementation.

• Set procedures for secure data access.

• Revise data models according to the specific needs of physical implementation to enhance database performance.

• Identify data distribution needs and collaborate with DBAs on physical implementation.

• Engage in architectural modeling and deployment of BI & Big Data systems, along with creating indicators and dashboards to facilitate executive decision-making.

• Design and develop the architecture for data services across the technological and platform ecosystem (Relational, Analytical, NoSQL) to support data consumption by BI applications.

• Advocate for and cultivate BI best practices with a focus on results and delivery to realize benefits; provide consulting, support, and mentoring to business sectors, offering recommendations and advice for ongoing improvement and sustaining the established organizational model.

• Contribute to the development and ongoing refinement of data management and governance methodologies.

• Assist in specifying integration mechanisms such as services, ETL specifications, database links, and other integration methods via DBMSs.

• Compose SQL scripts for data validations, report specifications, and more.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, or completion of any undergraduate degree accompanied by a postgraduate certificate (specialization, Master's, or Doctorate) in Information Technology of at least 360 hours.

• DESIRABLE CERTIFICATION: At least one certification in the following database systems: Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, DB2, SAP ASE, SAP IQ, MySQL.

• Preferred experience: 3 years in data modeling and integration of large volumes in both analytical and transactional settings.

• Proficient in relational and dimensional modeling; advanced SQL, DDL, DML, DCL; Familiar with platforms: Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, DB2, MongoDB; Experienced with modeling tools: PowerDesigner, Erwin, CA-Gen; Knowledgeable in integrations via DBMSs, database links, and ETL (e.g., Informatica PowerCenter).
