Dairy Field Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.

📋 Description

• Deliver data and milk sample collection services on dairy farms in a safe, timely, and professional manner.

• Accurately document test day information electronically using tablets, laptops, or other devices.

• Transport and install milk sample meters at the dairy farm on the test day, ahead of the testing schedule.

• Properly identify and store sample bottles in racks, maintaining the integrity of each sample.

• Clean equipment as necessary at the end of testing.

• Transfer records using the company’s proprietary software.

• Implement effective business management practices in line with AgSource policies and guidelines.

• Promote and maintain safety standards in the workplace.

• Provide services to members in the absence of their regular field technician.

• Collaborate with a team of technicians to deliver services to members.

• Operate within the assigned region/area as well as other service areas as requested by Region Managers.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED is required.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a service-oriented business is preferred, along with a basic understanding of dairy farming.

• Self-motivated and reliable, with a desire for personal and professional growth.

• Sales and service-oriented individual capable of working independently as well as part of a team.

• Proficient computer skills are necessary; experience with Dairy Herd Management software is a plus.

• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities are essential.

• Must be able to work shifts that may vary in timing and duration, potentially exceeding eight hours.

• Candidates should be capable of being on their feet for extended periods, which may involve walking, standing, and climbing stairs and/or ladders.

• Reliable transportation and automobile insurance are mandatory.
