This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Provide on-site assistance in the operating room or hybrid OR for procedures related to robotic cardiac surgeries and technologies.
• Act as a clinical authority for product configuration, troubleshooting, and optimal usage during live procedures.
• Ensure adherence to clinical and safety standards.
• Broaden the user base by collaborating with CVSM to develop a training pipeline for new surgeons.
• Demonstrate expertise across various technology platforms to effectively support the adoption of Multiport Single Port, digital solutions, and customer requirements.
• Advocate for advanced instruments and accessories to improve surgical performance and enhance surgeon independence.
• Work together with cross-functional internal teams to identify and leverage opportunities for increasing the use of da Vinci® Surgical Systems and strengthening Intuitive's collaboration with healthcare institutions.
• Conduct training sessions for physicians and care team members on indications, proper application, and best practices.
• Assist in the initiation of new sites by delivering onboarding programs and in-service training.
• Serve as a resource for continuous education and updates on products.
• Design and implement customized da Vinci® pathways for surgeons and surgical teams to ensure proficient and independent system utilization, by providing ongoing training for care teams as necessary.
• Maintain the ability to support after-hours procedures and provide weekend assistance when required, based on the territory's adoption of robotic surgery.
• Collaborate with local sales teams, leadership, customer training, and business partners to execute the appropriate clinical strategy for surgeons and surgical teams, ensuring system autonomy within a reasonable timeframe.
• Offer clinical insights to the commercial team to influence strategy and promote business growth.
• Participate in physician education programs, workshops, and regional/national conferences.
• Facilitate the adoption of our digital solutions by enhancing the customer infrastructure and capabilities.
• Gather and relay customer feedback to internal teams (sales, marketing, R&D).
• Stay informed about clinical literature, competitive products, and evolving treatment guidelines.
• Assist in supporting clinical trials when necessary.
• Bachelor’s degree is required (preferably in science or business).
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a cardiac-related clinical position (electrophysiology, interventional cardiology, cardiac surgery, or critical care).
• Prior experience in the medical device industry is highly preferred.
• Comprehensive understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and interventional procedures.
• Exceptional communication, teaching, and interpersonal abilities.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Capability to function effectively in high-pressure settings (OR/cath lab).
• Adaptability to new technologies and complex procedures.
• Team-oriented with a commercial perspective.
• Willingness to travel extensively (75%).
• Proficiency in both English and German is required.
