This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Provide specialized clinical support, education, and training to physicians, nurses, and hospital personnel regarding the operation of da Vinci cardiac surgery systems, devices, and therapies.
• Offer on-site case assistance in the operating room (OR) or hybrid OR for robotic cardiac surgery procedures and associated technologies.
• Act as a clinical authority for product setup, troubleshooting, and optimal application during live cases.
• Ensure adherence to clinical and safety standards.
• Increase the user base by working collaboratively with CVSM to establish a training pipeline for new surgeons.
• Exhibit expertise across various technology platforms to effectively facilitate the adoption of da Vinci, including multiport and single-port systems, digital solutions, and tailored customer needs.
• Advocate for advanced instruments and accessories to enhance surgical performance and support surgeon independence.
• Work with cross-functional internal teams to identify and pursue opportunities for expanding the utilization of the da Vinci® Surgical Systems and strengthening Intuitive's partnerships with healthcare facilities.
• Provide training for physicians and care team members on indications, proper usage, and best practices.
• Assist in new site initiations through onboarding programs and in-service training.
• Serve as a resource for continual education and product updates.
• Maintain flexibility to support after-hours and weekend cases as required by the territory’s robotic surgery adoption.
• Collaborate with the local sales team, leadership, customer training, and business partners to implement the suitable clinical plan for surgeons and surgical teams to achieve system autonomy within a reasonable timeframe.
• Provide clinical insights to the commercial team to shape strategy and drive business growth.
• Participate in physician education programs, workshops, and regional/national conferences.
• Gather and relay customer feedback to internal teams (sales, marketing, R&D).
• Remain updated on clinical literature, competitive products, and evolving treatment guidelines.
• Bachelor’s degree is required (preferably in a science or business-related discipline).
• At least 2 years of experience in a cardiac-related clinical role (electrophysiology, interventional cardiology, cardiac surgery, or critical care).
• Prior experience in the medical device industry is highly preferred.
• Comprehensive understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and interventional procedures.
• Exceptional communication, teaching, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Ability to perform effectively in high-pressure environments (OR/cath lab).
• Adaptability to evolving technologies and complex procedures.
• Team-oriented with a commercial perspective.
• Willingness to travel extensively (up to 75%).
• Proficiency in English and German is required.
