DA Processing Specialist – Tankers

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• DA-Desk manages Disbursement Accounts for various vessel Operators worldwide, and our role within the processing team is to enhance the efficiency of the Vessel Operator's tasks. We ensure the precision of Disbursement Accounts and offer insights into costs that Operators typically may not have access to. A crucial part of this function involves maintaining effective communication with stakeholders throughout the life cycle of a DA.

• The DA Processing Specialist's responsibilities include ensuring that communication with Agents is carried out accurately and efficiently, as well as processing DAs as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Communicate clearly and concisely with Agents using the RT Ticketing system within established SLAs.

• Investigate complex queries and provide appropriate recommendations or actions back to Agents.

• Escalate Agent complaints to the Sector Manager when necessary.

• Resolve PDA and FDA queries as responses are received in the PDA and IR mailboxes.

• Ensure the PDA is submitted accurately, with justification of costs.

• Guarantee that all costs on the FDA are accurate, justified, and that any cost deviations are fully explained.

• Utilize all available tools to process DAs in the most efficient way possible.

• Provide a feedback loop for identifying process gaps and suggesting improvements.

• Desirable Skills:

• Possess the ability to fully comprehend the requirements in communications received from Agents.

• Exhibit strong written skills to communicate effectively and factually with Agents, ensuring problem resolution.

• Demonstrate good analytical skills with an understanding of costs and events related to a port call.

• Ability to assist other team members in the processing of DAs.

• 1) Minimum Education: Graduate or MBA.

• 2) Minimum Experience: 2+ years in DAs & 4+ years in Shipping.

• 3) Desired Experience: Experience in vessel operations and an Agency background.
