D365 CE Technical Solution Architect – Technical Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the complete technical architecture for D365 CE and Power Platform initiatives, encompassing solution topology, Dataverse design, integration methodologies, security frameworks, environment strategies, and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM).

• Serve as the technical design authority for configuration, custom coding, plug-ins, JavaScript, custom APIs, Power Automate, Power Pages, Azure services, and third-party integrations.

• Collaborate with functional architects to convert business capabilities and process requirements into scalable solution components, reusable patterns, and implementation work packages.

• Define and manage ALM, DevOps processes, branching strategies, solution layering, release management, automated deployments, testing strategies, and production readiness.

• Set Azure DevOps standards for traceability, source control, build/release pipelines, deployment approvals, environment promotions, and audit trails.

• Provide technical guidance to consultants, engineers, offshore teams, and client technical resources through design and code reviews, build guidance, and issue resolution.

• Evaluate integration, data migration, security, performance, licensing, and non-functional requirements to identify delivery risks and propose practical solutions.

• Assist in presales efforts through technical discovery, architectural options, estimates, assumptions, risk assessments, rough order of magnitudes (ROMs), and statements of work (SOW) input.

• Confirm architectural feasibility during delivery through design workshops, critical evaluations, technical risk resolution, and transitioning from presales commitments to actionable delivery plans.

• Identify suitable use cases for Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio agents, AI Builder, and automation while ensuring responsible AI practices, security, and data governance considerations are applied.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with Dynamics 365 Sales, Customer Service, Dataverse, model-driven applications, Power Automate, Power Pages, and administration of the Microsoft Power Platform.

• Profound knowledge of Dataverse security, business units, teams, roles, field-level security, auditing, data model design, and environment strategies.

• Experience in designing integrations utilizing APIs, Azure Integration Services, Service Bus, Logic Apps, Azure Functions, dataflows, virtual tables, Dual-write, and/or third-party middleware.

• Practical understanding of Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint document integration, Outlook integration, Power BI, and Microsoft Fabric concepts as they pertain to CE/CX programs.

• Capable of articulating architectural decisions to executives, business stakeholders, technical teams, and delivery leadership in clear, business-oriented language.

• Recommended certifications include PL-600 or equivalent/successor path, PL-400, PL-200, MB-280, or relevant D365 CE credentials, along with Azure fundamentals or architectural certifications.
