Cybersecurity Technical Mentor – Independent Contractor

Posted May 7

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver tailored support by answering learner inquiries regarding course material and projects.

• Before the call, mentors are expected to review the students' prior project submissions—provided by the Mentor Success Team when available—and/or focus on specific areas of the Nanodegree content or project that the student has indicated difficulty with.

• In preparation for concept deep-dives, mentors will come equipped with a slide presentation that elaborates on a Nanodegree concept, sharing various use-cases to enhance student perspectives and understanding, followed by a Q&A session with the learners.

• For project walkthroughs, mentors will present a slide deck detailing each aspect of the rubric to assist learners in grasping expectations and common challenges they may face. This may also include a mentor evaluating a sample submission to illustrate what mentors consider when reviewing projects.

• Conduct regular sessions (via Slack or video) to respond to learner questions related to projects and coursework, with no prior preparation necessary.
