Cybersecurity Presales Engineer – Retail & Media

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Provide support to the sales teams during technical pre-sales activities, including customer meetings, demonstrations, RfX responses, and proof of concept initiatives.

• Utilize your expertise in cybersecurity to assess client requirements and implement the most appropriate Fortinet solutions.

• Assist partners and clients in designing optimal security and network architectures that align with customer specifications.

• Gradually assume responsibility for specific technical areas or solutions.

• Collaborate with senior Systems Engineers, Consulting System Engineers (CSEs), Solution Architects, and partners on complex opportunities.

• Lead customer workshops, deliver technical presentations, and conduct enablement activities.

• Continuously enhance your understanding of Fortinet technologies, integrations, and industry developments.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience in Cyber Security or Network Security (e.g., firewalling, SOC, SecOps, cloud security, network engineering).

• Strong grasp of networking principles (LAN, WAN, routing, switching, SDN) and security concepts (NGFW, IDS/IPS, encryption).

• Interest in roles that are customer-facing, pre-sales, or consulting-oriented.

• Excellent communication skills and a desire to enhance presentation and workshop skills.

• Self-driven attitude with the capability to thrive in a fast-paced, sales-oriented environment.

• High degree of personal accountability and ownership of customer projects.

• Proficiency in both German and English, with the confidence to present in both languages is essential.
