This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Provide daily leadership to cybersecurity teams.
• Guide, mentor, and assist designated Cybersecurity Team Leads and specialists.
• Convert cybersecurity strategy and program priorities into actionable plans, initiatives, and results.
• Supervise assigned cybersecurity services, controls, and operational functions.
• Manage demand across incidents, investigations, service requests, security assessments, and enhancement initiatives.
• Direct assigned projects and workstreams, ensuring ownership, milestones, risks, and dependencies are maintained.
• Monitor delivery against defined scope, timelines, budgets, and anticipated results.
• Maintain dashboards, operational reports, and management information.
• Identify and escalate significant risks, service challenges, resource limitations, and delivery issues.
• Coordinate major cybersecurity incidents and investigations.
• Oversee assigned vendors and managed security service providers.
• Foster relationships across Cybersecurity, IT, business functions, and corporate teams.
• Articulate cybersecurity risks and requirements in clear, business-oriented language.
• Assist with governance reviews, audits, assurance activities, and remediation initiatives.
• Transform insights from incidents, investigations, audits, and service failures into sustainable improvements.
• Enhance services through standardization, automation, knowledge sharing, and efficient operational practices.
• Provide senior management with visibility into performance, priorities, and emerging challenges.
• Extensive experience in cybersecurity, information security, technology risk, or a related field.
• Proven experience leading cybersecurity teams, technical specialists, operational services, or significant workstreams.
• In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity operations, governance, risk management, and control environments.
• Experience in managing projects, suppliers, operational services, and competing priorities.
• Capability to translate technical cybersecurity issues into clear business risks, decisions, and actions.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Confidence to make balanced decisions and constructively raise significant concerns.
• Ability to work independently while ensuring effective alignment with senior leadership.
• Experience in a complex, enterprise-scale or geographically distributed organization.
• Strong commitment to confidentiality, integrity, and ethical decision-making.
• Familiarity with recognized cybersecurity and risk-management frameworks.
• Experience in supporting significant incidents, investigations, or crisis management.
• Experience in managing outsourced cybersecurity services or technology vendors.
• Experience in supporting audits, regulatory activities, certifications, or customer assurance.
• Engaging and significant projects supporting green hydrogen, fuel switching, and local energy transition clients.
