Cybersecurity Assessment and Authorization Analyst

📋 Description

• Provide assistance to the Department of Health and Human Services, Indian Health Service (IHS).

• Implement and support the completion of security certifications.

• Create and execute a program to manage adherence to government regulations.

• Perform annual testing of the effectiveness of security controls.

• Record findings and oversee remediation efforts across all systems.

• Conduct information security audits and risk assessments on customer systems.

• Review and revise the security and contingency plan for each system.

• Support system owners in the development of security authorization packages.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.

• A minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience.

• At least four (4) years of experience in certification and accreditation (C&A) compliance / Security Assurance (SA) (NIST based).

• Preferred certifications include CAP, CISSP, CISM, CISA, SANS GIAC, Security+, Network+, Linux+, MCSE, CCNA, or SSCP.

• Comprehensive knowledge of the NIST SP 800 series and FedRAMP guidance and standards.

• Advanced computer skills with a high level of proficiency in both Windows and Linux environments.
