This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Gather, assess, validate, observe, and react to cybersecurity intelligence and incidents.
• Examine and address security events recorded and correlated by the SIEM or other security systems.
• Supervise security solutions and analyze logs and reports from security tools, workstations, servers, and network devices.
• Investigate and resolve unusual activity while serving as the first responder for potential security incidents.
• Collaborate with external security vendors regarding the analysis of security logs.
• Collect, analyze, evaluate, adjust, and distribute cybersecurity threat intelligence.
• Review configuration and vulnerability data to assess risks to the Bank's data security.
• Report adverse activities to the Incident Response Team.
• Participate in the cybersecurity on-call rotation.
• Offer feedback on rule and alert tuning while validating log sources and event types.
• Review system configurations and technical specifications against security control standards to identify deficiencies.
• Join the incident response team and engage in incident response planning and testing exercises.
• Ensure adherence to bank policies, procedures, as well as state, federal, and regulatory requirements.
• Associate Degree or equivalent experience from a regionally accredited institution in Information Security, computer science, mathematics, engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• A minimum of two years of direct Cybersecurity experience, ideally in a cybersecurity analyst or similar position.
• Experience in analyzing and responding to cybersecurity incidents, preferably within a financial organization.
• Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
• Strong interpersonal and computer skills.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Capability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure setting.
• Ability to research cybersecurity concerns and products.
• Proficient in communicating ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly terms.
• Strong self-motivation, attention to detail, and collaborative work ethic.
• Willingness to learn and apply new information.
• Robust security mindset.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and security best practices in the financial sector.
• Preferred experience in regulatory compliance monitoring, including PCI DSS log monitoring, alert reviews, evidence collection, and control validation.
• Knowledge of monitoring controls in highly regulated environments and opportunities for automating security operations.
• Preferred certifications such as GIAC, CompTIA, or similar in cybersecurity.
