This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.
• Monitor the organization’s networks, examine security audits and logs, and routinely validate the cybersecurity measures implemented as part of the Information Security Management System.
• Engage in evaluating the cybersecurity practices of the firm’s vendors and contractors, and address client inquiries regarding the firm’s cybersecurity status.
• Be ready to react swiftly and effectively to potential cyber incidents.
• Conduct incident investigation, management, and documentation while ensuring that timelines for remediation steps are clearly understood.
• Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity developments, including evaluating the implications for the firm’s systems related to newly identified vulnerabilities.
• Maintain knowledge of the evolving tactics, techniques, and strategies employed by advanced malicious cyber actors.
• Support the cybersecurity awareness initiative by clarifying policies and best practices, creating training materials, and guiding users on secure solutions to business challenges.
• Over 2 years of experience in a comparable technology-focused role.
• Proven practical experience with network and computer technologies.
• GED or High School Diploma.
• Advanced education in cybersecurity, computer science, or engineering is a plus.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively and professionally across all levels of a professional services organization.
• Strong interpersonal abilities, capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment and working both independently and within a team.
• High sensitivity to confidential matters.
• Must successfully pass a background investigation.
• Familiarity with risk management principles.
• Triage, investigate, respond to, and escalate security anomalies and alerts.
• Understanding of network protocols and the fundamentals of TCP/IP.
• Basic computer programming and scripting skills.
• Proven problem-solving and analytical skills: identifies issues, analyzes information to determine root causes and relationships, risks, and potential risk mitigations; ability to distill complex data into clear recommendations and reports.
• Ability to effectively facilitate collaboration across various functions, departments, and levels.
• Consistently meets commitments, deadlines, and objectives while staying within scope and utilizing appropriate tools, methods, frameworks, and professional standards.
• Capacity to build trust and credibility with business partners and leadership while recommending initiatives and identifying gaps and potential issues.
• Ability to work independently while representing the department’s services with the utmost professionalism.
