Cyber Security Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Oversee and set up security tools, including **FortiGate and Cloudflare firewalls**, to ensure robust security for cloud workloads, networks, and endpoints.

• Develop and enforce firewall rules and security policies across cloud services such as **Azure, AWS, and GCP**, enhancing the organization's infrastructure protection.

• Implement advanced **micro-segmentation techniques** utilizing tools like **Illumio** to safeguard east-west traffic and bolster internal security.

• Manage **web proxies** including **Palo Alto, FortiGate, Cisco Umbrella, and Zscaler**, to guarantee secure internet access for the organization.

• Conduct audits and enhance security measures for various tools and devices, such as **WAF, DLP, APT, IDS, IPS, Firewalls, EDR, CASB**.

• Carry out regular **SOC and SecOps maturity assessments**, identifying vulnerabilities, evaluating risks, and proposing mitigation strategies.

• Investigate, document, and respond to information security incidents using tools such as **Nessus Tenable, Qualysguard, Darktrace, and Azure Sentinel**.

• Administer and support **SD-WAN**, **VPN Tunnels**, and other network security measures in multi-cloud environments to ensure secure communications.

• Work in conjunction with compliance teams to uphold standards such as **ISO 27001** and **SOC 2**, producing reports and maintaining audit readiness.

• Remain informed about emerging security trends and provide training to staff on information security best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent experience is required.

• At least 5 years of experience in IT Security with practical knowledge in **firewall management** (Palo Alto, FortiGate, Checkpoint), **cloud security** (Azure, AWS, GCP), and **micro-segmentation** (Illumio).

• Expertise in **network threat detection** and vulnerability assessment using tools such as **Nessus, Qualysguard, Darktrace**, and **Azure Sentinel**.

• Comprehensive understanding of **IPSec, VPNs, SSL, DNS, NAC**, and cloud security platforms.

• Relevant industry certifications like **AWS Security, Azure Security, CEH, PCNSE**, and **ITIL** are preferred.

• Demonstrated experience in managing complex, secure environments across hybrid infrastructures.
