Cyber Security Operations Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Assist with the vulnerability management program.

• Generate reports and support IT owners in addressing security vulnerabilities.

• Oversee the penetration testing schedule for Odevo US.

• Coordinate with external entities conducting penetration tests.

• Collaborate with software developers to promote secure coding practices.

• Aid in security incidents by identifying root causes and suggesting corrective measures.

• Engage in the design and implementation of security solutions.

• Keep informed about emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices.

• Manage ongoing activities, including responding to security-related tickets and inquiries.

• Work alongside other IT teams to enhance the security of systems and applications.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience in a Cyber Security position.

• Strong grasp of security principles, concepts, and technologies, especially in vulnerability management.

• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.

• Effective communication skills for interacting with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving and solution development.

• A degree in Information Security or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.

• Experience in Cloud Security within Microsoft Azure and Google Workspace environments is advantageous but not required.

• Proficiency in Bash, Python, and Kusto Query Language (KQL) is preferred but not essential.

• Cyber security-related certifications, such as GIAC, are desirable but not necessary.
