Cyber Security Expert – Senior Director/Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Monitor global market trends, identify relevant vendors, and explore emerging technologies.

• Produce evidence-based content that is easily digestible, defensible, and actionable.

• Provide high-quality actionable advice tailored to an executive client audience.

• Design and present webinars, executive briefings, and other client-facing events.

• Establish credibility as a cybersecurity expert representing Gartner Business & Technology Insights.

• Deliver exceptional sales and service support to enhance and expand the Gartner business.

• Engage actively in ideation and discussions within the research community.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; a graduate degree is preferred.

• Over 12 years of relevant IT and/or program executive leadership experience, particularly with government and defense.

• In-depth understanding of the strategic, security, and operational challenges faced by government leaders.

• Background in security roles (e.g., Government CISO or similar positions).

• Experience in implementing NIST, DoD/W, and IC cybersecurity standards/policies or their foreign equivalents.

• Extensive experience in leading civilian and/or defense strategies and the implementation of programs and technical capabilities.

• Proven executive presence, with the ability to quickly establish credibility with executives.

• Strong organizational skills, capable of working under tight deadlines while delivering high-quality outputs.

• Proficient in analyzing and synthesizing data; able to effectively apply patterns and frameworks while drawing and defending conclusions.

• Excellent communication skills for explaining complex concepts in a concise and simple manner.

• Demonstrated learning agility and skill in navigating highly matrixed environments.

• Ability to effectively represent Gartner's research methodologies and strategies at all organizational levels.
