Cyber Security Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with senior architecture team members to conduct security architecture assessments, threat modeling, and assurance contributions.

• Adapt to a range of active programs as priorities evolve.

• Evaluate architecture and design documentation, performing threat modeling and risk evaluations.

• Offer practical and proportionate security advice to program architects, delivery teams, and suppliers.

• Dedicate the majority of time to technical evaluations and design validation efforts across various programs.

• Assist in secure procurement processes for assigned programs.

• Establish and review penetration testing scopes, coordinate with vendors, and interpret results.

• Keep precise security architecture documentation, review logs, and risk registers updated.

⛳️ Requirements

• Substantial current, hands-on expertise in security architecture, cybersecurity engineering, or solution architecture.

• Proven recent experience in assessing and advising on security architecture for complex digital, cloud, or integration-intensive solutions.

• Experience in creating technical security documents: threat models, risk assessments, design evaluations, architecture patterns.

• Strong familiarity with NIS2, ISO 27001, NIST CSF, and GDPR (or similar regulatory frameworks).

• Experience with security architecture in cloud and hybrid environments (Azure and/or AWS).

• Knowledge in identity and access management, as well as network security design.

• Capability to manage multiple concurrent programs and adjust priorities as needed.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical findings to non-technical audiences.
