Cyber Security Analyst – Defender XDR Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Microsoft Defender XDR, Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Servers, Defender for Office 365, Defender for Cloud Apps, Defender for Identity, and Security Copilot.

• Investigate and address cyber security incidents across endpoint, identity, email, server, and cloud settings.

• Engage in proactive threat hunting utilizing Advanced Hunting and KQL.

• Create and refine detections, playbooks, and operational processes.

• Assist with vulnerability management and remediation efforts.

• Offer technical guidance and training to Cyber Security Analysts.

• Utilize Microsoft Security Copilot to improve investigation and reporting effectiveness.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

• 2-5 years of experience in Security Operations, Incident Response, or Threat Hunting.

• Practical experience with Microsoft Defender XDR technologies and Entra ID.

• In-depth understanding of Incident Response, Threat Hunting, and MITRE ATT&CK framework.

• Expertise in KQL query development and analysis of security events.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

• Proficiency in English.
