Cyber Business Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Engage in project meetings to identify new data sources or additional data necessary for platform initiatives.

• Organize meetings with owners and requestors of data sources to establish connections, document procedures, and integrate data.

• Deliver Tier 1 triage and Tier 2 troubleshooting/support for Palantir Foundry data analytics workflows, platform functionality, user issues, and operational incidents.

• Diagnose issues with data pipelines, analytic workflows, data models, and operational datasets.

• Assist in both code-based and low-code/no-code solutions across the platform.

• Facilitate REST API connectivity, data ingestion/export processes, and system-to-system integrations.

• Collaborate with data scientists, data engineers, analysts, platform administrators, ISSM staff, and engineering teams.

• Document troubleshooting procedures, recurring issues, operational processes, and user support guidance.

• Enhance platform usability, operational efficiency, data reliability, analytic workflows, and help desk processes.

• Utilize Slack, Teams, Outlook, and SharePoint for communication and information sharing.

• Develop documentation repositories and standard operating procedures for help desk actions.

• Create automation processes for recurring issues.

• Provide the ISSM team with accurate data source request information for AO approval.

• Prioritize data connections for the CCB Board.

• Assist in restoring degraded connections through password resets, identifying points of contact, and scheduling troubleshooting sessions.

• Address questions in the Teams User Forum or seek engineering input.

• Coordinate engineering inquiries between engineers and data Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).

• Create and configure user accounts with appropriate access levels and manage user access.

• Review data-source migration plans and update documentation accordingly.

• Ensure engineers adhere to data connection processes.

• Define and operate organizational data management tools.

⛳️ Requirements

• Top Secret Security Clearance.

• A minimum of 4-7 years of relevant experience.

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science).

• Experience working in a government headquarters staff, ideally in support of the Department of Defense or Air Force.

• Understanding of data governance, data integration, and data quality management principles.

• Familiarity with cybersecurity protocols related to data protection and compliance, including ATO, PIA, MOA, and DSA.

• Knowledge of government procedures and protocols pertinent to data sharing and collaboration.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively as part of a team.

• Capability to manage multiple data connection projects, prioritize tasks, and ensure timely completion.

• Knowledge of data analytics principles, data modeling concepts, and enterprise data environments.

• Familiarity with REST API technologies, Swagger/OpenAPI documentation, and data integration methodologies.

• Understanding of cloud-based or enterprise-scale analytics platforms and modern data architectures.

• Proficiency in Python, SQL, PySpark, and TypeScript/JavaScript.

• Skill in analyzing datasets, identifying data quality issues, troubleshooting pipeline failures, and resolving platform-related incidents.

• Ability to support users within a complex data analytics ecosystem and convey technical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Capacity to quickly learn new analytic tools, platform capabilities, and operational support processes within Foundry.

• Ability to manage multiple support requests, prioritize operational issues, and work effectively in a fast-paced support environment.

• Experience with Palantir Foundry is highly preferred.

• Background in data engineering concepts, including data lineage, data transformations, data cleansing, ELT processes, and pipeline troubleshooting is highly desired.

• Availability to work within the Eastern time zone, with expected hours from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern unless otherwise directed by the manager.
