Customs & Logistics Specialist – 30–40 h/week

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Autonomous management of all import and export operations from start to finish

• Ensure that all customs documentation and accompanying paperwork are complete and accurate

• Serve as the primary liaison for customs authorities, external logistics partners, and internal teams during official customs audits

• Classify products within the customs tariff and maintain relevant master data related to customs and foreign trade in the ERP system

• Develop and implement new, efficient procedures while integrating all customs-related activities into daily operations

• Establish a network of logistics partners and oversee daily operational tasks

• Schedule and arrange freight for international shipments and coordinate transportation logistics

⛳️ Requirements

• Several years of pertinent professional experience in customs, as well as import and export processing

• Strong understanding of European customs regulations (import/export)

• Familiarity with tariff classification and foreign trade legislation

• Extensive practical knowledge of Incoterms® 2020

• Proficiency in ERP systems, particularly in master data management and transaction processing

• Diligent, audit-compliant working style

• Attention to detail

• Negotiation skills, particularly regarding freight rates

• Fluent communication skills in both German and English

• Open and proactive attitude toward complex questions and challenges
