Customer Solutions Architect

📋 Description

• You will immerse yourself with customers in your local market, on-site when necessary, to gain a deep understanding of their workflows, limitations, and what "success" means in practical terms.

• You will spearhead technical discovery, solution design, and execution for significant customer implementations: integrations, data onboarding, workflow configurations, and new product features needed to realize value.

• You will develop and deploy production code that enhances Partly's core SaaS + API platform, often working in close feedback loops with users while ensuring reliability, security, and maintainability are not compromised.

• You will bridge the gap between customer requirements and our product/engineering roadmap: converting ambiguous challenges into clear specifications, defined milestones, and quantifiable results.

• You will take on the role of hands-on technical owner for deployments after launch: resolving live issues, enhancing observability, fortifying edge cases, and promoting continuous improvement.

• You will become proficient in the complex and intricate auto parts sector, assisting customers in modernizing their processes for sourcing, identifying, and transacting parts.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years experience in building and delivering complex software in production settings.

• Strong customer empathy and product insight: you can transform real-world workflows into effective solutions.

• Comfortable managing the entire lifecycle: discovery → design → build → deploy → operate → iterate.

• Solid foundation in engineering principles: APIs, testing, system design, data structures, and debugging.

• Ability to collaborate across boundaries: you can engage with customer IT teams, operations teams, and internal product/engineering stakeholders using clear written and verbal communication.

• Experience with external system integration (APIs, webhooks, EDI/FTP/file feeds, SSO) and handling imperfect data.

• Capable of functioning in ambiguous situations and making prompt, effective trade-offs (time-to-value versus long-term maintainability).

• (Bonus) Experience in forward-deployed/solutions engineering/technical consulting/implementation roles.

• (Bonus) Familiarity with automotive parts, repairer/supplier workflows, or related B2B marketplaces.

• (Bonus) Experience or strong interest in learning Rust.
