
Customer Service Representative – Financial Assistance Counselor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Conducts daily customer service operations within the hospital revenue management.
• Manages customer service tasks related to self-pay and insurance billing.
• Aids patients in resolving billing issues.
• Documents customer complaints and related concerns.
• Monitors trends in customer service interactions.
• Addresses or escalates customer issues to the Supervisor of Customer Service.
• Keeps updated on relevant laws and regulations.
• Performs additional responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
• High school diploma or an Associate's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• A minimum of one (1) year of experience in relevant areas.
• Familiarity with revenue cycle processes and systems.
• Experience in a hospital, clinic, or healthcare financial services setting.
• Prior experience in a service or call center environment.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
