Curriculum Writer – Apprenticeship Product Manager

📋 Description

• Responsible for the design and development of products within our portfolio, which includes apprenticeships, Skills Bootcamps, HIT courses (6-16 week training programs featuring both digital and face-to-face content), Study Solutions (digital Professional Qualification revision packs), and CPD courses.

• Enhance and maintain our product offerings by analyzing competitor activities and changes in government or regulatory policies relevant to product lifecycle stages.

• Take ownership of your product portfolio, closely monitoring and tracking their performance and lifecycle stages.

• Collaborate with colleagues throughout the organization to optimize product performance and promptly address any identified performance issues.

• Conduct regular evaluations of your product portfolio against the product checklist to ensure all aspects related to the products, like IfATE Standard changes, collateral, website, and learning assets, are kept current.

• Manage and update the asset register for your product portfolio as needed, working alongside other Product Managers and the broader business to meet deadlines.

• Partner with the Instructional Design Apprentice or learning designer to outline eLearning content effectively.

• Actively participate in apprenticeship trailblazer groups related to your product portfolio and collaborate with relevant external stakeholders and partners to maintain our products' market leadership.

• Develop client-facing product documents, marketing materials, and website content that align with Davies Group brand guidelines.

• Create learning and development content using tools like Canva, Adobe, Foxit, and supplementary materials, such as digital pathways, digitized mock exams, and quizzes across products when necessary.

• Share best practices with others during standardization meetings.

• Deliver webinars and presentations on products to both internal and external stakeholders.

• Design engaging, digitally-driven learning pathways on our Learning Experience Platform and ePortfolio platform.

• Promote our product portfolio through social media posts and campaigns.

• Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to provide guidance on the creation of learning content.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum certification level in insurance (CII) or completion of an apprenticeship in an Insurance or Financial Services role.

• Demonstrable experience and confidence in designing, writing, and developing training programs and content, particularly those led by digital platforms.

• Comprehensive understanding of the training and development needs within the financial services and insurance sectors, including qualifications from ICA, CBI, PMI, LIBF, CIS, CILA, and CII.

• Training or certification in education and/or training is advantageous.

• Experience in educational product management and familiarity with blended learning programs is helpful.

• Proven ability to create engaging, digitally-led resources.

• Commercial awareness, with experience in market research, competitor analysis, and creating marketing materials being advantageous.

• Experience in delivering training is desirable.

• Familiarity with tools such as Articulate, Aptem, and other LMS/LA tools is desirable.

• Understanding of the Apprenticeship sector and relevant funding/regulatory rules, as well as the Education Inspection Framework (EIF), is desirable.

• Previous experience managing relationships with awarding/professional bodies is advantageous.

• Experience in writing and responding to Sector and program-level Self-Assessment Reports and Impact Reports is desirable.
