This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +5 more states.
β’ Distinguish the current Teens Make Health Happen curriculum into separate products for middle school and high school.
β’ Create a comprehensive set of facilitator training sessions and additional resources for mentors involved in Teens Make Health Happen.
β’ Collaborate closely with the HealthCorps Mentor & Alumni and Curriculum Development teams to design, test, and finalize training materials.
β’ Evaluate the existing unified TMHH curriculum to pinpoint areas that need differentiation.
β’ Provide final curriculum documents in formats approved by HealthCorps.
β’ Develop and design four training sessions for facilitators along with necessary materials.
β’ Conduct a pilot of all four training sessions for the HealthCorps Regional Program Manager team (virtually) and utilize their feedback for improvements.
β’ A valid teaching credential issued by the state (elementary, secondary, or multiple subjects).
β’ Experience in differentiating curriculum across grade levels (middle and high school) and various learning stages.
β’ Knowledge of classroom management techniques and informal/afterschool educational settings.
β’ Awareness of the developmental differences between middle school and high school students.
β’ Exceptional written communication abilities; capable of producing well-crafted, mentor-ready instructional materials.
β’ Ability to operate independently, oversee project timelines, and adhere to deadline requirements.
β’ Preferred:
β’ In-depth understanding of the National Health Education Standards (NHES 2024) and their relevance to curriculum development.
β’ Hands-on experience facilitating or acting as a site sponsor for the Teens Make Health Happen (TMHH) initiative.
β’ Skills in using Canva.
β’ Enter into a formal independent contractor agreement with HealthCorps outlining deliverables, timeline, and compensation.
β’ Responsible for personal taxes, benefits, and professional liability; no employee benefits are included.
β’ Opportunity to work remotely with a flexible schedule, including availability for scheduled check-ins with HealthCorps staff.
β’ Compensation at a pre-agreed project or hourly rate, as specified in the contractor agreement.
β’ Not classified as an employee of HealthCorps for any reason.
