This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.
• Aids the Career Readiness Education (CRE) program by developing services tailored for students involved in CRE.
• Collaborates effectively with administrators, student services staff, and educators to guarantee the provision of career development services.
• Establishes connections with parents, businesses, postsecondary institutions, and community organizations to facilitate students’ transition to higher education and employment.
• Assists in ensuring compliance with program funding requirements.
• Guides students in choosing suitable academic and CRE courses.
• Organizes career planning activities in classrooms, group settings, or one-on-one sessions.
• Administers and interprets career assessments, providing necessary insights.
• Offers information regarding postsecondary education programs and job opportunities.
• Coordinates work-based learning experiences for students.
• Plans and organizes activities aimed at helping students develop essential employability skills.
• Encourages the integration of career research and work-based learning into both CRE and academic curricula.
• Advocates for the utilization of technology in career planning and research.
• Acts as a liaison with the business, industry, education, and military sectors, fostering partnerships that create opportunities for students and enhance CRE.
• Promotes resources associated with partnerships.
• Engages in professional development activities at local, regional, state, and national levels.
• Pursues professional growth opportunities to stay informed about trends, demands, and emerging careers in a dynamic workforce.
• Supports efforts to maintain program funding and compliance.
• Bachelor’s Degree AND Three (3) years of experience in CRE OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to pass a required background check.
• Experience in teaching Business Career and Technical Education (CTE) courses is necessary.
• Familiarity with federal and state regulations is essential.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities are a must.
• Proficiency in using a student information system and/or other databases is expected.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, etc.) and web applications.
• Willingness to travel 25% of the time is required.
• Experience as an online/virtual educator is preferred.
• Background with Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSO) is advantageous.
