Crop Insurance Underwriter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Dakota.

📋 Description

• Processing, modifying, or canceling crop insurance policies for both new and renewal applications in accordance with Risk Management Agency (RMA), industry standards, state regulations, and company protocols.

• Inputting Application/Change Forms, Production Reports, Acreage Reports, Quality Control, and Claims-related documentation.

• Managing requests for policy transfers.

• Auditing reported policy data, which includes Coverage, Production, Acreage, Claims, Quality Control documentation, farming methods, and reported entities.

• Conducting premium assessments for crop insurance policies.

• Investigating and responding to inquiries about crop policies from agents, insured parties, and adjusters.

• Generating and reviewing data reports to maintain compliance and accuracy of policy data.

• Assisting in training agents on Crop Insurance and evaluating marketing materials related to the products and sales of Crop Insurance.

• Participating in company and industry training programs.

• Handling incoming paper and electronic mail.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in crop insurance and/or crop underwriting.

• Background in an insurance agency and/or experience with another Crop Insurance Provider is advantageous.

• Strong research and organizational skills, coupled with excellent customer service abilities.

• Capability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving capabilities.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer without requiring employment visa sponsorship.
