Crop Claims Specialist – Claims Crop Field Adjuster

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Dakota.

📋 Description

• Assess liability by collecting and evaluating relevant information through established procedures.

• Verify policy and coverage by examining applicable terms and determining if losses are covered.

• Engage in Risk Management Agency assessments and referrals to ensure operational integrity and quality control.

• Safeguard Zurich’s reputation by maintaining confidentiality of claims information.

• Enhance professional and technical expertise through education, industry research, networking, and participation in professional organizations.

• Travel within and outside the designated territory to assist with workloads, join CAT teams, and provide remote support for claims inquiries.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.

• Crop Claims Field Adjuster I: Minimum of 6 months experience in the agricultural sector.

• Crop Claims Specialist: At least 4 years of experience in the agricultural or crop insurance field.

• Certification in the Crop Adjuster Proficiency Program (CAPP) must be achieved within 180 days of employment.

• Reliable personal transportation is required.

• Willingness to travel within the assigned territory; specialists may also travel outside their designated area.

• Capability to walk in agricultural fields for distances up to 3 miles.

• Ability to climb agricultural storage bins up to a height of 25 feet.

• Capacity to lift weights ranging from 25 lbs to 50 lbs.

• Willingness to work outdoors in diverse temperatures and weather conditions.

• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Excellent organizational, multitasking, and prioritization abilities.

• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
